Workspace ID

Locate the unique workspace code in Power BI, essential for managing workspaces within the BI Portal. Follow the steps below to retrieve it easily.

Where to find your Workspace ID

Start by visiting the Power BI website and logging in to your account.

Access settings

Once on your dashboard, locate the top navigation bar on the top right corner and click on the gear icon to access Settings.

Enter Admin Portal

In the Settings menu, select Admin Portal under Governance and Insights from the dropdown.

Go to Workspaces

Within the Admin Portal, navigate to the Workspaces section. This is where all your workspaces are listed.

Hover Over the Workspace

Find the specific workspace you wish to use. Hover your mouse over the workspace name to reveal more options.

Select the Workspace Details

Click the three vertical dots (ellipsis) on the left-hand side of the workspace. A dropdown menu will appear. Choose Details.

Retrieve the Workspace Code

You will see on the right side a panel pop-up. Here, you will see the workspace ID, which is a unique combination of numbers and letters.
